How's it been...

lol I never thought I would be coming back to this at all but since I've been given my account back recently, I thought I would make a post about how life have been in general for me.

School was tough from 6th grade to now. I made a lot new friends when I got into 6th (surprisingly) but when coronavirus happened I lost mostly all of them due to us not seeing each other and us not texting or facetiming. Also my stubbornness of not wanting to reach out first also got in the way of making new friends while online in school.
But now its a new school and new year, I'm still pretty nervous cause now If I need help I need to reach out to people in person (which i'm not great at) but I'm learning slowly to speak up when I need help so that's cool.
It feels so weird just typing this out knowing that probably not many people are gonna look at this besides people that have been posting- which I think is only one... but anyways uh- good luck in life (to those who are reading this) and yeah, I wish you the best years in life :)

The CoronaVirus๐Ÿฆ

You may all know that there is this Virus going around that is called, “THE CORONAVIRUS”. Many LAUSD schools are closing because of this Virus. I love school, but when I heard that it’s closing for a while, I was happy, but at the same time scared because if all LAUSD schools are closing , then this means that the CORONAVIRUS is very dangerous. People are dying because of this. Please friends, family, strangers, everybody, please be safe and wash your hands and don’t touch your face!๐Ÿ˜”

My Black History Month Essay

On February 10, 2020, I was assigned an essay about Augustus Jackson. The reason that I am doing this essay is because we are celebrating Black History Month. I have to write 6 paragraphs about him and It’s due the next day! ๐Ÿ˜ฑI don’t think I can do this because I have to do a lot of research and what is really bugging me is that I have to write it and then type it. ๐Ÿ˜’ I really have to work hard because my New Years resolution is to have straight A’s  this semester. Wish me luck!

Valentines Day

Valentine’s Day is the day where people express their feelings to another person. Valentine’s Day is usually celebrated on February 14, 2020. People waste a lot of money on presents, flowers, and etc. You don’t have to spend a whole bunch of money on the biggest bouquet and presents, the most precious gift you can give to a girl/women is your time and patience. That’s what Valentine’s Day means to me. I feel bad for the people that are Single and they just watch everyone get gifts and flowers. What I am doing this year for Valentine’s Day is to make Chocolate Covered Strawberry’s for the Single people. I have some friends that are Single and I don’t want to see them alone, I will make their day by giving them something made from the heart. So if your single, don’t worry because you’ll probably get something from me if you go to my school! ๐Ÿ˜‰

My Best Last Week Of Winter Break

On December 30th, 2018, It was my Birthday!! My parents didn't know what to do for my birthday, but since it isn't only MY birthday, it is also my Brother's. Then they have to do something we both like. It took them about 3 days to come up with something. Then my mom told me and my brother where we re going. My Brother and I thought we were going to Big Bear, since my mom said we would go these days, But no. My mom and dad told us we are going to...  Las Vegas, Nevada. My brother and I were so happy. I told my dad if he is still going to work on Monday. Since he works all the days, except Sunday and Tuesday, but he said he still has to work. I felt bad for him because we are leaving Sunday Morning at 3:00 a.m. and he had to work Saturday and he comes back from work at Midnight. That means he only has 2 hours of sleep. He has 2 hours, not 3 hours of sleep because we have to get ready and pack some other things. It took us 4 hours to get to Las Vegas. I almost forgot to mention, sadly we didn't take Chloe on this trip. Chloe goes every where with us. She also goes to Las Vega with us. We left her with these little boys my mom takes care of on Monday and Wednesday, but we trust those kids.

Anyways, when we got there, we went to the Las Vegas Sign. There is a sign in Las Vegas where you can take a picture for memory. Then we went to drink cow milk. There is a barn we go to every time we go there. It is where you get Choco milk power and put it in your cup. Next, these men bring in a cow and they milk the cow. It is so warm and tasty. Some people can put alcohol and choc milk powder in their milk. After we left, we went to my cousin's uncle house. We went there for a short amount of time and then we went to this buffet called Feast Buffet. this buffet is inside a Hotel called Sunset Station Hotel & Casino.  When we got inside the buffet, there was different types of foods. For Example,  Asian,  Mexican, and Texas food. The food was so good. My brother has been asking for the IPhone XS and my parents said they will try and get it. Then they bought it 2 or 1 day before his birthday. Then we gave him a box full of goodies and on the bottom, there was his phone. When he saw it, he didn't say a word. I was so happy.

After we left the buffet, we went to.... Circus Circus!!!! I was  so happy. I went to the rides with my cousin and some rides with my bro. The first ride I got on was Sling Shot. It is like the ride in Santa Monica called Pacific Plunge. The next ride I got on was Inverter. The ride is so fun because you get in the seat and then you go backwards and then you stay upside down for 5 seconds. It felt weird for me because since I finished eating. The ride that I hold on SO tight was El Loco. El loco is a ride with twists, turns and drops and we ascended 90 feet before the drop.

It was fun at Circus Circus, but then we went to this place in Las Vegas called Winter Wonderland. It was o colorful. It had inflatable balloons of all the states. Then, there was this Ball pit, full of white balls and it is just like a pool with water, but a ball pit full of balls. My sister, Belen, wanted my brother, Adan, to get in, but he didn't want to. So then, She hung from his neck, and then..... ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜” My sister threw his Air pod In the ball pit. He got so mad. We started looking for it and he gave up and walked away. Then, a random guy had and idea and we did it and we found it. When my brother found out, he was happy.

After we left, we stayed at the Circus Circus hotel. It was a fun night and I hope I can enjoy it another time.

My Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Thanksgiving was last week. Although mine wasn't the most exciting, it was good enough for me.

Usually, we go to our cousin's house. This time, we got together with some of my parent's friends. On Wednesday, my mom made turkey and some other foods, which we ate by ourselves. But on Thursday, that's when we went out. With my parent's friend's, we ate carne asada, chicken, rice, and beans.  Technically, we just ate and talked. It would have been okay except for the fact that I stepped in dog poop. I was outside with my older sister, Brenda, and she wanted to pay soccer. As we were walking, we both stepped all over dog poop. Once we got home it was night so I just left my shoes outside and washed them the next day.

On Black Friday, only my mom and older sister went shopping. They bought clothes too, but the main thing was that my mom bought a stove. Our old stove was a gas one, and it was old. Now we have a new electric stove. Having a new stove made me want to find any excuse for using it.

All in all, this break wasn't so bad.

I Finally Did It Classtopians!

Yessss!!! I finally did it! I cannot believe it! You may be wondering why I am so HAPPY. I am so happy because I finally got my grade of Chorus from a C to a B and now to an A. I am so happy. My family got so happy that they bought me a new sweater of Tommy Hilfiger and  a New Sweater. I love it when I get good grades because I am in a good mode and I get new stuff.

So Classtopians, What grades do you have in school?

The Wreck Of The Miranda

On November 15th, 2018, I will be performing in front of all the middle schoolers in my school. I feel so nervous, but when the day gets closer, I feel more nervous. Every Tuesdays and Fridays, My Chorus class and I  went to the auditorium to practice parts of the scenes.

What do you do Mariana? I am a Greek chorus, flat mover, and hospital staff. I have three jobs and that is why I am SO nervous. The company that is helping us with the performance is LA OPERA. My Chorus class has to make them thank you cards. I forgot to mention that my performance is an OPERA performance. The show is called The Wreck Of The Miranda. The show is by Nathan W. and Matthew L. The performance is basically about 2 students in a magnet school, Angela and Eva. A fish trawler crashes and they lie that the ship came safely and that chemicals didn't spilled in the oceans, but chemicals did spill in the ocean. People get sick and Angela suspects something. She tries to convince her classmates that something isn't right. With the help of her teacher and her classmates, she will figure this out.

I can't wait for the day. We had to vote of what to wear. The choices were to wear school uniform or wear all black. We chose all black because we thought it would be comfortable. (We wanted black because we didn't want to wear uniform.... shhMy Chorus teacher wanted us to wear uniform because since the scenes are usually in a classroom, she said it would make us look "better". So the choice was black. The performance will be during 5th period and it will be 49 minutes. I am so nervous!!!

Wish Me Luck!

Science Project

In October 8th, 2018, in my science class, we started a Cell Project. We have to build whatever we want, but we have to put cells inside it. Some people are doing a fair, library (I am doing that), Tilted Tower from Fortnite, and more. I am doing a library with my friend Jacqueline, and Tristan. Before we started to build, we had to draw an analogy. When we were done.... I almost forgot. You may be wondering, what analogy did you draw? I drew a sketch of what our Library project would look like. We voted on which one was better and we chose mine. We are being graded for this project. We are hoping we can get an A. We also have to do a digital presentation for it. We planned on rapping it, but we don't know how to rap. It will be turned in Friday October 26th. It was supposed to be turned in on October 19th, but since we got behind schedule, we moved the due date to Friday. We hope we get a good grade.

In my math class, we are also doing a project. The project is about Hidden Figures. We had to find a women scientist that changed the world. I chose Marie-Curie. I have always wanted to study bout her. She was a french Physicist that found 2 idioms. My drawing is perfect to me, but I don't know ho it would look like to others. I am making a movie poster. It looks like.. A title of what she did, a drawing of her, and our name in the bottom. I hope I get an A on that.

So Classtopians, Are you doing a project in school/home. Or a project related to school, if so, what is it about?

My Favorite Class

What is my favorite class??

I'd never thought about that until now!! My favorite class is usually History. My favorite class is History because I get to learn about Ancient history. What I have learned is about Hominids, Hunters, gatherers, Farmers, Sumerians, and City-States.

You must be thinking.. What are Hominids? Hominids are prehistoric humans. There were 5 groups of Hominids. The 1st group was Australopithecus Afarensis or known as Southern Ape. Lucy was part of Southern Ape, but she was Biped.  The 2nd group was Homo Habilis. The 3rd group was Homo Erectus. The 4th group was Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis. The last group was Homo Sapiens Sapiens.

Sumerians are earliest historical region of southern Mesopotamia. A City-States is a city that with its surrounding territory, it forms an independent state.

I really learned a lot in History class. I hope I can learn about more ancient things.

So Classtopians, What is your favorite class in middle school??

Starting Blogging Again

Wow! I can not believe that I have not written a blog since June 5th, 2018. My last blog was about Ending Classtopia. I have so many things I want to share with you.

Well, let's start with Summer vacation. I went to many places. 1st, I went to Fresno to visit my uncle because it was his birthday. 2nd, I went to Vegas because it was my god sister's birthday. 3rd, I went to the movie theaters to watch Hotel Transylvania 3, Incredible 2, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, The Meg (It was scary, sad, and funny). I went to the pool. I saw my BFF, Lindsay, sometimes I went there. I went to my police program. I went to the next rank, Corporal.

Now let's talk about school. I started school August 14 and some schools started August 15th. When I got to school, I was nervous because I saw people knowing each other and hugging each other, but I was sad because I didn't see any of my friends yet.  I was looking for my homeroom in a white paper, where everyone' name was on it, but I didn't find my name. Sooner, I found out that it was by last name. I saw some of my 5th grade classmate's name, but they were in a different school and some were in this school. I saw Katherine's name, Bianca's, Daniela's Jessica's, Yasmin's, Jesse's, Nathaniel's, but they go to my school. The names I saw that are not in my school were Lindsay's, Elizabeth's, and Diana's name.

I have 7 periods. My first period is math, second period: Math, third period: science, fourth period: English, fifth period: Chorus, sixth period: Ancient Civilization (History), and my seventh period is P.E. I got my schedule changed because there were to many kids in the class, but it wasn't just me, it was other people too. I met a new friend, Jacqueline. She is my BFF. She helps me understand things I didn't know and she is always there when I need her. I am with her in all my classes. Even though we got our schedules changed, we still have the same classes together. I am with Daniela and Katherine in my 4th period, English. In 7th period, I am with Jesse, but we don't talk to each other.

I got my 10 week report card and I am so happy. I have in 1st period:ASS, 2nd period, AEE, 3rd period: AEE, 4th period: AES, 5th period: BSS, 6th period: AEE, and 7th period: AEE. Every Wednesdays in P.E, we have to run the mile. The mile is basically running the whole P.E field 2 times. I have an A on that.

I forgot to mention that a few weeks ago, there was a school dance in my school. The tickets cost $5.00. I begged my mom and dad to go and they said yes because I brought 3 A's from Math, History, and Science. We had to wear a wristband to wear free dress. We had so much fun. We danced, ate, and laughed. The songs they played was Caballo Dorado (Golden horse: A Mexican dance), In my feelings and more.

In my school, there is this event that is going on about Halloween. The events there are is: Door Decorating Contest, art contest, and costume contest. We also had a day where we had to vote for student bond president. The students that I chose were 3 students and they won.

I love my new school. It is my homeschool. If people told me what was your favorite schools, I would say my elementary school and my middle school.

So Classtopians, Do you like your middle school? And Why?

My Band Raises Oaxaquenias

I've already told you that I joined a band in late June. But what I didn't tell you was that I have stayed in the band, and am still going. Some exciting things have happened, so read on to find out more.

As you know, people can hire us and we go play at a party for a determined amount of time. So far, I've gone out to play my clarinet 4 times. 2 of them were for free, but the other two were paid. I am supposed to get paid twice a year, or something like that. Of course, I'm not going to get like $1000 or something, because there are about 17 kids in the band, and the money has to be divided between all of us. So I'll probably get $20 for every 3 hours. I guess this is really cool, since now I will be able to buy something here and there, or just save it all. But the best part is, playing the clarinet is not THAT hard, so I don't have to put much work into earning $20. (Not that I don't try to play good.)

So now you know what I will most likely be doing on the weekends.

Middle School and A Sprained Knee

Middle School and A Sprained Knee

Most recently I started Middle School. For most people this can be a nerve-racking experience.

For me I racked a few nerves. Okay, it was nerve racking, but let me tell you why. At first, I felt ready with all the practice my elementary school teacher gave me, and the things to do in  middle school. When I got there I found an old friend that was in 7th grade and I knew him from a magnet class at my school back in 3rd grade.

So I find my class (Ahem Ahem my advanced accelerated classes) and wait for the bell to ring so I could go to my class. nothing really happens for these past 5 weeks until the 3rd week. I was in my regular schedule until after lunch recess. I was doing pull ups on a pull up bar when someone who I am going to call James, said he could help me with my pull ups and I replied "No I'm fine I don't need help with anything".

When I got back on the pull up bar he pulled my leg and I had my knee bent when I had my knee fall on the floor so I assumed I had broken my leg or something, because my tissues were exposed.

Anyway I couldn't get up so they called the school nurse for a wheelchair. They helped me get up on the wheelchair. They called my parents and told them what happened. My dad took me to an urgent care hospital. While he filled out a form. He told me a few jokes and my dad was questioned about my medical problems. When we were done with all of the questions. I was taken into a room where they would take X-Rays.

They talked to my dad about how I actually didn't break or fracture my knee I sprained it. I can't do P.E for another week or so.

June

OH MY GOSH! I haven't written a blog for 2 MONTHS. But don't think it was because I'm lazy. It was because my parents cut the cable and Internet. They said it was because we weren't even going to use it during the summer. (I complained, but they didn't listen.) So today, on August 29, we finally got cable and Internet again. The first thing I did was start writing a blog, because I actually missed writing.

Anyway, I'm going to tell you about my summer, starting from the month of June.

As I said in my last blog, I went to Disneyland! This was actually my second time there, but I went when I was 3 years old, so that doesn't really count. It was really fun, but if you want to know more go read "Disneyland". The trip to Disneyland I didn't get to write about was the one to Disney California Adventure. We went on a lot of rides, but my favorite one was the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission:Breakout. So you first go inside this room, an you see a video. Everyone on the team  has been captured, but Rocket escaped, and he is trying to break them out. Rocket tells you his plan to help his friends.  Then you walk out of the room , and go inside this elevator looking thing. You sit down, and put on a seat belt. I sat on the very side, and that it was pretty cool, because instead of all metal, the sides were had little holes in them, and you could see outside. But it was dark, and couldn't see much. So elevator backs up, and through the front, you can see the shadow of Rocket. He says something like "Rocket's going to rock you!" Then he rips a plug, and  red lights turn on, along with a beeping sound. Everything turns dark, and suddenly the elevator goes down. It was so scary because I wasn't expecting it, and also because I could feel the wind in my face. The it stops, and you see a screen that shows broken plugs and sparking hallways. It goes up, then down, then up again. This does not sound exiting, but it really is. Seriously, I was about to CRY! It goes so fast, making you stomach feeling REALLY WEIRD.  Then another screen shows up, and you see the other characters wrapped in a monster's tentacles, and they're mad at Rocket. But it's scarier this time, because the elevator bounces a little bit up and down, and you don't know when it will go back down. The next  screen shows them free of the monster, but then aircrafts start attacking them. This time, when you go up, the lights turn on, and you see the wall. There's this part of the wall that opens up, and you see how high up you really are. You're so high you can see the tops of everything! There's a flash, and you go back down. The last screen shows the Rocket with the rest of the team, and it looks like they defeated everyone. After this, you keep going up and down. Finally, the elevator stops, the door opens and you get out. This was my favorite ride because it was the scariest.

The second fun thing that happened in June was eating Dove chocolate at the Santa Monica Pier. I went to the beach with my cousin, Amy. We picked her up at 9:00 in the morning, then got at the beach at around 10:15. We went to the Santa Monica Pier. Brenda and Amy went by themselves on rides, since we only came because they had planned this trip. While they were gone, my little sister and I went on a ride. We sat down on a dragon, and it went up and down. When it went down, it felt like you were going to fall. After we got off, we waited for Amy and Brenda at some tables. We then went to the stores. I got 3 shirts at a store called Cotton: On. After this, we went to eat at Johnny Rockets, a place that sells hamburgers. As we were heading to the car, we passed a stand by Dove chocolate. You could get a free bouquet of flowers, and if you donated $5, then you got a small bag of chocolate. So that was how we ended up eating Dove chocolate at the Santa Monica Pier.

On June 28, I started taking music classes. Not with Harmony Project, but with a teacher that came here to play at a concert, all the way from Mexico. Classes in the morning were from 10-12. These classes were mostly about music theory and scales. In the classes from 5-8, we played traditional Mexican songs. This was 5 hours everyday, 5 times a week. After about 2 weeks, I joined the band, called raises Oaxaquena. People could hire us to play at parties, or other events. I actually enjoyed playing the clarinet with them, and stayed there for the rest of the summer.

So this is pretty much what happened in June. I definitely had a lot of fun.

A Trip To Orange County Fair

It has been an awesome summer and I didn't think it get better until today. My family woke up and started to pack a whole bunch of things in one backpack. I asked where are we going and they said it was a surprise. I got so exited. The whole way we were driving I was thinking were could they possibly be taking me. Then I saw a big sign that said welcome to the Orange County fair. I was so glad we came here because we came here  last summer and it was a blast.

once we bought are tickets we went inside and saw that there was petting zoo. There were sheep, llama and much more animals. We had so much fun there. Then the actual fun came. We were going to go on the rides. My dad was so nice that he bought my sister and I passes for  unlimited rides. So we started to go on rides and then we got hungry so we ate a corn dog and at the  Orange County Fair all the food is triple it's size.We couldn't finish the corn dog.

Then we went to go see shows. My dad and I have a favorite show. It is the pig race show. We get watch pigs race and it's so funny because they always make you laugh. Then I went  went to see the circus with my dad. We had so much fun.

After a while we all shared a ice cream,. And noticed that we had to go home because it was getting dark. And that was my day at the Orange County fair. I really hope we get to go to the fair next summer.

My New Bird Rocky

Today is Fathers Day and we got a big surprise from my Grandpa. A long time ago when I was a baby I had a bird named Quigue. He would always talk and wouldn't let us sleep. But then one morning my dad went to give him food he wasn't there. We put out posters but couldn't find him. Until today we don't know where he is. Today my sisters and I got a big surprise. My grandpa said he was going to get something for Father's day but then he came back with a parrot. I was so excited. So we ended up calling him Rocky. It was a good name since he was gray like a rock. We are so excited to have him and hope will have him for a long time.

Disneyland

On June 11, my parents woke me up at 5:30. "Hurry up and get ready, we're going somewhere.", they said. So, I got ready, and everyone else got in the car. We got on the freeway, but I fell asleep. I woke up at a parking lot. "Where are we?" I asked."We're at Disneyland!!" exclaimed my dad.

We got out of the car and went to the place where they check your bags. After that, we got on a tram that took us to the entrance to Disneyland. We bought two-day tickets, and entered at Disneyland. (We chose that over Disney California Adventure.) When we entered, the first ride we went to was Pinnochio's daring adventure. You sit on a cart, and it moves through the "house". As it moves, you see Pinnochio's story.

We went to many more rides like this, like Snow White's Scary Adventure, Peter Pan's Flight, and many more. Then we went to Dumbo's Ride. You ride on and elephant in the air.

Then, we went to Mickey's Toontown. While my little brother went to Mickey's house, my dad took me and my sisters to a little roller coaster ride.

After that, we went to Storybook Land. We rode on a canal, and on the sides were miniature houses of some Disney Characters. While we rode along, the person driving the canal told us the stories.

We ate pizza at pizza Planet for lunch.

We then went to Critter Land, and went on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. After this, we went to Splash Mountain. We waited in line for an hour, but it was worth it. We sat down on this log (it had seats, of course). It was in the water, so it was kind of like a boat. Then, it went up on a little ramp. It went down on a little ramp, and I got wet. Then, it went up some more, and finally came down. According to a sign, it was  50 ft drop. I felt like I was going to fall out of the log.I screamed all the way down, and screamed more because when we got to the bottom, I was totally soaked. By then the ride ended, and we got off. The sad part is, I had to spend the rest of the time wet, and was already 8:30.

We went to the Haunted Mansion. When we entered, we went inside an elevator. There were picture on the wall at the top, and it was creepy, because ans we went down, the pictures extended. A voice said,"Are we going down, or is just your imagination?" Then the lights went out, and some people screamed. The voice said,"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you immatures!" The lights came back on, and we walked down a hallway. There where these seats waiting for us there. We rode on these seats through the house. The creepiest thing was the handles on the doors were rattling. We just passed through a graveyard, and that was it. At the end, the voice, "There you are, I've been waiting for you. Beware of hitchhikers!" Then we saw hitchhiker ghosts. Our chair thing passed by a mirror, and then there was a hithchiker ghost in the seat with us. This made me glad I was in the seat with my mom and sister, because there was no more room for the ghost. HA! We then reached the end, and we got out of the seat. The voice said, "Now the ghosts will follow you home. HAHAHA!" That was the end.

When we came out, my brother was crying. But he stopped crying, because there was a show going on at the Rivers Of America. There was a boat, and it was telling a story with picture formed from light. There were also a lot of fireworks.

This trip to Disneyland was awesome!

The Flying Elephants

This was one of my favorite rides, The Teacups!

This is the 50 ft drop. You can't see the rest of the slope, though.
