Fred's Orchids

On Monday we started emailing one of our teacher's friend, Fred Clarke. We started emailing him to find out more about Orchids, because our teacher brought in two of the plants he created. We were impressed!

 So then I asked him what do some other of his orchids look like. He responded by sending me 3 pictures of orchids on trees. I have decided to share them with everyone else because of their beauty. This is How ORCHIDS SHOULD GROW IN NATURE. My teacher has been telling us that orchids are EPIPHYTES and that means that they want to be mounted on trees and not planted in the ground. So, if you have orchids maybe you should put them in the trees or on a long piece of board to make them thinks they are in the trees

Fidget Spinner Fun

Hey! Have you heard about the new toys that are out? The people that design toys came up with fidget spinners.

If you're bored, these toys will help you. People who sell them say, it calms you down, when you have stress. In my opinion is, it does not calm you down when you have stress. I think it is just a fun toy to play with. They also say it could be for special kids. You can buy these fun toys anywhere 7 eleven store, ice cream truck, also at shell's gas station, and last but not least the Internet on Amazon or eBay.

        You can also do more than just spin it. Let me show you some of the tricks I can do. You can also do a contest on which one spins the longest or see if you can spin all of the fidget spinners at the same exact time. You also may do something funny but cool, like stack them all up and spins them different directions.  

And there you have the tower of four fidget spinners. Please if you would like to get one ask your parents for $5 and that’s all you need to know about fidget spinners.

I totally disagree with the principal of my school. She takes spinners away from kids who bring them to school. She did this because ONE kid used his spinner to hurt another kid. So now everyone is punished. Fidget spinners are toys but they are no harm to the school. I like playing with Fidget Spinners.

My Favorite Mexican Foods

My family eats a lot of Mexican food, and I LOVE it! My favorite food are tamales! For Christmas and special occasions, my mom makes Tamales. But, she makes them big, so one tamale fills me up good! I really like the tamales, because she makes the sauce, and puts in boneless chicken. I only like my mom's tamales, because the red sauce she makes is super delicioso!

My second favorite food is Mole. Mole is like a black sauce. My mom buys a red mole sauce and black mole sauce. She mixes them together, and it turns brownish. She does something to it, and then she makes white rice and chicken. The Mole is a little bit spicy, but I still love it! (The mole sauce has nothing to do with the animal that is called a mole!)

I also like Tlayudas. A Tlayuda is really delicious. It is like a tortilla, but is crunchy, and very big!  You have to warm up the Tlayuda, like a tortilla. You can even put the whole thing on the grill, once it is finished! On the Tlayuda, you put beans that are blended. On top of the beans, you put Quesillo. Quesillo is a cheese, that is like string cheese, but it tastes a little bit different. The cheese has to be cut into strands, and you have to make those strand even thinner. You have to do this because Quesillo come in a round ball of cheese. You can call Quesillo Oaxaca Cheese, since it comes from there. On top of the cheese you put shredded cabbage. You can also put lettuce, if you don't like cabbage. You can stop here, if you want. But, you can make it even better! You can put Chorizo (pig meat) in it, or Tasajo. These are both meats, and they add a great taste to a Tlayuda!

My fourth favorite food is grilled chicken and Carne Asada. Carne Asada and the chicken are put on a grill. The chicken is the color orange, but when my dad grills it, it sometimes gets a little burnt! You eat it with orange rice and blended beans. Sometimes I make myself a taco with these ingredients!

I have a lot of favorite Mexican foods, but these are my most favorites!

Library Book

I got a book from the library called Frankenstien Dog.  It is a goosebump book. I can't wait to finish it.  

The 4 beautiful Orchids

 On Tuesday, when I got home, I sent an email to Fred Clarke. We have been corresponding with him ever since Monday after our teacher and her friends went to his nursery. She brought back plants and now all of Classtopia is mad about orchids. I asked him if he wouldn't  mind sending me pictures of some of his hybridization's or his favorites, and he sent me 4 beautiful pics of orchids.
 I told him that I can't pick between the 4. So, which is your favorite?

More To Love

Almost every one in Classtopia knows that I love wolves. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved them very much. I have a collection of dogs and wolf stuff. I have had them since I was a little girl. When I was younger my parents used to say that I might have been a dog before because I used to do many things that dogs did. Like get a bowl of water and lap it nonstop.  As I grow up I seem to love them more that ever. Not one but 2 Classtopians have drawn me a cute drawing of wolves. I will always cherish them.

Dragon Punch

On September 28, in the after school program, we got a special juice that said Dragon punch. Last year my teacher was talking about a fruit that was called the dragon fruit. She showed us the fruit but there was not enough for everyone. So when we got the fruit I remembered that we knew what it was and I said, "Hey guys look, we have dragon punch." My friends and I were so happy that we could finally taste the good dragon fruit. Other kids got it too. It was in a small carton box, and it was so delicious.  So I decided to share this with everyone who missed out. Then my friends told me that I can make an entry about it.

  Dragon punch is better than boring old apple juice that we get EVERYDAY.
