The Night The Wolf Became The Moon
So the wolf ran of with Isabella and she was so happy, she laughed all the way. Until they reached the den. Isabella looked inside and saw it was extremely dark. Isabella had small drops of water. She was tearing up. The wolf soon realized and she howled a nice little song. A soft soothing song.
Then the birds chirped and joined in. It was amazing!
It was so nice that all the animals gathered around Isabella. They made a circle around her. Then they started making beautiful sounds. The bees buzzed the birds chirp and tweet and all the other animals made sounds too. If you heard it you would believe that it is truly Nature's song. Isabella has never seen so many animals before, then the wolf spoke again.
The wolf declared Isabella was going to be a new member to the pack. The animals believed that, that was the best decision. The wolves were in charge because they helped a lot. They sometimes hunted food for some creatures that were weak or animals that needed it. They also shared some of their territory with some creatures that were not able to find homes.
The wolf also said “Isabella shall also take care of you all. I hope you all understand she is a baby and she also has the same charm the Crystal had, so she is special, unlike other children.”
Then the animals talked between themselves and they started to ask if they could see the charm. The wolf let them see it. Isabella was so happy that she could be around so many animals. The animals all asked “ Is it really you. Then they all bowed down to Isabella.
Chapter 2 What is out there.
A few years passed and Isabella was now 9 years old. She started calling the wolf her mother and she always wondered what was out there. She asked every animal. She asked the bears and the wolves that passed by the roads and especially the birds they flew everywhere she always sat around them and wanted them to tell her stories about what they saw and she always imagined a lot of animals not humans walking around and doing all the stuff that the birds told her about.
One day hunters came into the forest and they were there to take Isabella back to where she belongs . The wolf pack ran guarding Isabella and the hunters were running after the pack. Then right before her eyes flashed a light. Then on the ground lied many creatures. She asked a wolf “Are they d...dead !?” The wolf responded and said “Yes, we have to go before the train reaches the railroad hurry up just get on me please” Isabella said “ No I will run I can run really fast”. So they ran and ran as fast as they have ever ran Isabella was now breathing hard.
Chapter 3 The Big City
Up ahead they saw the train so they ran faster and faster. They made it. The wolves said “You need to walk a little more then you will get to a city”, “Wait what is a city” She turned around and saw that they and they were gone. “ I guess this is a new chapter in my life”. So she walked and walked and it took her about 1 day she was not hungry at all because she is ok with not eating for 2 or 3 days . She finally made it very tired she just slept in a pile of leaves. The next morning she awoke wondering where am I what have I gotten myself into. She started to cry. She wanted the wolf to come back.
“This is just like when I started to live with the wolves” said Isabella. “Once again this is all new to me. Back where I started she said to herself anyway I have to go meet my new parents I think. Crystal said “don't be scared it's okay. No matter what happens we'll go through it together just like sisters” she said with a smile on her face.
"Thank you so much" said Isabella "I really appreciate it anyway can you show me what a bathroom is I think that's where you use the restroom because I have to go. Why of course said Crystal. So Isabella went to the restroom and took a look at herself and said is this really who I meant to be a city girl or my life means more than I think it. So they spent about 2 hours talking and they said we would love to take care of you. Thank you so much you don't know how much I appreciate this Isabella. I will follow all your rules and try not to get in trouble anyway I'm going to go get my pile of leaves and bring it upstairs so I can sleep here.
"You silly kids and your imagination" said Crystals parents You not going to lie on the floor in a pile of leaves . You are sleep in the bed, anyway goodnight Isabella. ‘’Thank you again’’ Isabella. The next morning Isabella saw her new parents Carlos and Stacy. She something amazing. She saw kids going in some kind of building they had backpacks on and some of them had books in their hands. Then she heard a bell and everyone scurried into the building and the doors slammed closed. She asked “Why are lots of children going into that building” “That is a school” responded her parents. She heard water go on. She said “ I gotta go to the bathroom be right back’’ said Isabella.
“Now where are you going “ said Stacy.
“I am going to go to the restroom outside. That is how us wolves go to the bathroom.”
“Now who taught you that.”
“My mother”
She looked at the ground and sighed.
Stacy looked at her and let out a small smile. She then said” How would you like to go have a picnic in the woods behind the house with Crystal and I.”
Crystal then came out of the shower and she had her favorite dress on.
It was embroidered with gold beads and blue and red beads as well. Then it had a lace on the tip of the shoulders and she had a beautiful necklace. And on it, had a wolf figuring and a little tooth. But not a baby's tooth, it was a little wolf’s tooth. Isabella stared at it then she touched her neck and felt the leather necklace that she had on. She pulled it out and felt a lump going through her throat. She knew that she could not cry in front of Crystal once more. So she looked down the entire time.
They went outside and layed out the picnic sheet. Isabella admired the pattern and shapes on it. When she stared at it for a long time her eyes began to water. Then she would start to rub her eyes and continue to stare. At one point she thought Will I ever go back home, Will mother remember me, will she miss me. A tear sprang from her eye. Then Crystal said “ When are you going to begin school. I will not begin until next week but the little ones started to day. Mother and I will go school shopping today for clothes and school supplies would you like to come. I would like it if you do.”
Isabella looked up from the ground and answered “ Yes I would like to join you but…..” she looked down at her clothes and said” I really do need clothes. But I don’t have money” Crystal replied and said” My mom sorry our mom will provide us with money. And you can borrow some clothes and shoes if you want ” “Yes I would like to use some do I need to take a shower too?” “Yes” said Crystal.
When Isabella come out she had a dress with a wolf staring at a moon and it’s mouth open slightly. And it was covered with constellations and the night sky was blue and purple with a little magenta. She also had a pair of wolf ears that had flowers on it.
Everyone agreed that she looked like a rose bush freshly bloomed. So all the girls went to the mall.
When they arrived the mall seemed to be having a sale. So all the girls looked at each other a smiled. So then they ran of. By the time the sun was setting they were leaving and they were exhausted.
They got home and Stacy went to go take a bath. Except for the girls they decided to wait outside and stare to never ending night sky. They would look at each other and then smile. Finally the both were very hungry and tired. So they went in, Isabella was heading towards the restroom when she saw something she did not notice before. It was a door behind another. She stared at it for a very long moment. She then looked around to make sure that no one was watching. When she made sure that no one was watching she walked in. As soon as she walked in she felt something. This room made her feel safe. She heard something. It sounded as if some was trying to tell her something like it was calling her. “ISSAAA” Though it was not clear it sounded as if it was calling her.
She saw a box in the corner of her eye but it seemed to fade in the darkness. She tiptoed to it. When she was almost there she slipped the thud was very loud that she ran out the room and slammed the door.
The next day her stomach was growling from hunger. She went to the kitchen and looked out the window. She saw a wolf. So she ran out and then she called him over. She said “Excuse me may you please come over.” So the wolf came closer and said “I am sorta in a hurry, so can you make it snappy. Thanks.” Isabella said “ Why yes of course. Do you know the white wolf. They call her Spirit. “ The wolf responded and said “How do you know my mother? Besides, She has told us that a human has stolen a thing that goes around her neck and that she ran away.” In Isabella's head she thought That mustn't be mother. She would never say that about me at least I think so. She thanked the wolf and went back inside. Right beside her, was Crystal. She was in shock. She sighed. She slowly patted her back. Then wrapped her hands around her new sister.
They all sat at the table enjoying their meal. They all talked about how they are thankful for having Isabella in their lives. Then when they all finished their meals and went on about their day. Crystal went with Isabella to the forest the ran towards the den in the middle of the forest. Isabella thought she could run forever but Crystal was out of breath. Then Isabella stopped and asked if she need some water Crystal said "yes". So they walked a little longer and stopped at a lake. She told Crystal to wait and she would be right back. A few minutes passed by and then Isabella came back. She had a cup in her hands. She scooped out some water and handed it to crystal. She drank it all up and thanked her. They ran a little bit longer. Crystal then stopped at a tree in the tree was a hole. Crystal went in and found a wolf tooth. She came out and had a big smile on her face. It was a little dirty so she went to the lake and washed it off.
She showed it to Isabella. Then they went to the den and saw Spirit. She was limping. They walked over to her and she let out a whimper and dropped to the ground. Isabella got closer. She saw blood on the ground. And saw a shiny thing in the puddle. It was a bullet. She turned her over and saw a hole in her leg and chest. She began to sob and let out a howl. Crystal could only stare in disbelief. Isabella picked up the bullet. She held it in her hand and ran. Crystal tried to go after but could not keep up.
