Walk-a-thon

Classtopians on the move.

Today our school hosted a walk-a-thon to raise money for a new auditorium. The goal was to raise 100 dollars per student. I was the Classtopian who raised the most money. I got my family to support me and my school. My grandma and mom showed up to walk with us. Kylie's mom and grandma were also there. Isael's parents showed up to cheer us on and to walk. This is their second on the walk-a-thon because Isael has a younger brother that walked yesterday. Ashley's mom came to walk with her and her twin brother. Laila's mom and toddler brother, Darius, came too. Daniela's dad was there as usual. We had so much support. It was wonderful.

We had to walk for a total of 30 minutes. Before we walked we stretched and play some fun exercise games. Once we were nice and warmed up to walk the music started and we were on the go. There were people on the sides to give us water. Some of the kinder classes came to  see how fast we could walk.

Some people like Aiden and Jessica ran the whole time. Every time Aiden passed he told us the lap he was on. We saw Jessica running around and her face was all pink. She was exercising! In the end some people "CLAIMED" that they ran 50 laps. We are not too sure about that. But we do know that they ran a lot. Some of us had fun by just walking fast sometimes and chit-chatting other times.

We had a lot of fun being in the sun. We ended the morning at our garden for pics and then went to eat snacks and back to work.

Our science fair is coming up and we have to get ready.

  10. I really like the walkathon it was so fun I was sweating so much though. I remember seeing a banner that the kindergarteners I think had and it said the amount of money they raised.
