A Long Weekend

This past weekend was tiring. Every day I had to get up at 6 in the morning
to go to the soccer field to watch my brothers play, I enjoyed it. We did not
get back to the hotel that we were staying at until 8 o’clock. We were
playing in Corona at the pony express tournament.  This tournament
was about two hours away from where I live. I really liked the tournament.
The best part of the tournament was watching my brothers play.

I watched my mom and the other parents enjoy every bit of the game as I
did. I watch my dad coach the team nearly break his back a couple times.
For I did too. My brother's team is so good. My dad is also a good
coach. He coached his team to the championship game that was held on
Martin Luther King day.

These were the two most intense games of them all. The first game
was the Sim semi final game. The boys fight pretty hard and nearly
lost but they made it through and won. Then about two hours later
you have the final game. My brothers are so ready for this game they
demolish the other team 9-0. My friend Andy scored a pretty funny goal.
The ball deflected off his face into the goal. Everybody started to laugh.
He did not even know that The ball went in. Then when the game was
finished my dad got a bucket of cold water dumped on him
unexpectedly. He jumped like a opossum. They got a big trophy.

I had a very fun weekend. The next tournament I will be writing about
is in two weeks and I will be processed repeating in that tournament
not just my brothers. Hopefully I will bring home the golden metal
and the trophy.

On Turning 11

Today, January 18th, is my birthday.

I finally turned 11 years old.

I feel weirder now that I am eleven.

This morning at school, I felt like I could see better.

I felt like there was more light or something.

Before, I used to feel kind of empty,

like I was forgetting something,

but now that feeling is gone.

The Mall

Today I just went to the mall.
We first went to Hollister, where my sister got some jeans. While we were there, we saw some family that went camping with us. My brother was so happy to see Richy. I noticed that my couisin Amy got a haircut. It used to be to her waist, but now it is to her shoulders.

We then went to Aeropostale. I bought myself three shirts, and my mom bought me a pink sweater. My favorite shirt is one that is blue, and it says wild on it.

We then went to Target. I just got a folder and a spray bottle. I need it to water the plants that are growing at my house in the bottles.

Then, we went to the play area. My brother played hide and seek with my sister. I was too old to play, so I just played with slime.

Then, we went to the food court. My mom and I got Panda Express, while my sisters got Chipotle. I shared my food with my brother. He was really hungry because he ate about half of the whole thing!  He also ate the fortune cookie.
Then, we left. I was just glad I got some shirts, because they looked really nice.

This is my favorite shirt.

Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam was created during the Great Depression in 1931-1936. It was built between the Colorado River and the Black Canyon. The purpose of the Hoover Dam was to control flood, and store water. They say the Hoover Dam has the cost of 100 lives because for all the people who lost their lives while building the Hoover Dam. Out of 100 people that died 96 of them were buried there.

Over the weekend I went to Hoover Dam. It was such a fun trip. My mom’s friend and her daughter went, so did my mom's other friend, my mom and I. We were on the border line of Arizona and Nevada. We saw a little grave of a dog that had died there during the construction, they called him The dog who owned the Dam.

While I was there I saw that on one side of the water is higher than the other. The time difference between Arizona and Nevada is 1 hour. So when  I was on the border line half of me was in Nevada at 11:05 a.m. and the other half of me in Arizona at 12:05 p.m. . It was such an amazing trip my mom's friend’s daughter and I learned so much. I hope we can go there again soon.

Playing Monopoly

On January 15, 2018 my cousins and I were playing monopoly. The rules of the game are to roll the dice and move the amount of spaces shown and buying as many properties as you can. The more properties you get the more rent people will pay you. If everyone loses their money and you are the last player you win.

Properties
To be able to buy houses for your properties you must get all the properties of one same color. To buy a hotel you must have 4 houses.

There was no winner but we had fun playing.

We began the game with $1500
Bank Money and (Hotels=red Houses=Green)
Monopoly

Visiting Big Bear

On January 14, 2018, we went to Big Bear. It took about one hour and fifty minutes to get there. When we made it, we took out the sleds. My brother and I saw a little hill and went down sledding while  my mom, dad, and my little sister to got ready. When they were ready, we went up a hill. We got our personal spot to go down sledding.  We got some snow to make a snowman. But my dad wanted to go a little higher to get more snow.

When we made it, there were tons of snow. My little sister didn't want to walk, so my dad put her on the sled. We got a lot of snow and made a snowman. My sister and I built a little snowman. we took a photo with the snowman and took a photo of it by itself. Then we went back home. It was so fun to go to the snow!

2018

On New Year's Eve, I helped my mom cook. We made Red Posole, Baked Potatoes, Barbecue Ribs and Mexican Fruit Punch. I ate ribs, cucumbers, and baked potato. While we all waited for the countdown, I played with my brother and watched some T.V.
Finally, it was time. It was 2018! I was really excited because it was a brand new year. We went outside, and my dad got our small grill and made a fire. Then, my uncle helped us kids light these sparklers. We took pictures and had a lot of fun. Then, we went to sleep at 1:49 a.m.

In the day, went went to the mall. I only bought some things at Target. We spent the rest of the day at the mall. We got ice cream at Baskin Robins. I got Jamoca Almond Fudge, which is my favorite.

Finally we went home, and ate dinner.

I am excited for a lot of things this year, like my couisin's Quinciniera, my granmother's visit, our summer camping trips, and a lot more. I hope that this year my family will do more fun things.

Christmas

Recently, it was Christmas. I think that Christmas is the best holiday. This year wasn't the best Christmas, but it was still great.

We went to a party on Christmas Eve. It was about Jesus being born, but there were pinatas and food. When we got home from the party, it was already 12:15 p.m., so it was Christmas already. Of course, the first thing we did was open our presents. I got money, a vest, and a some clothes. (The money were from different people.) We mostly all got the same thing, but my younger brother got the best presents. He got TWO remote-controlled  cars, a puzzle, a Mickey Mouse, cars, Spiderman gloves and a Spiderman beanie, and a star Wars sweater. He got more presents than any of us.

Soon we all went to sleep. I woke up really late, like at 10:50 a.m. I showered, then went to eat brunch. I ate the tamales that my mom made, and also drank some fruit punch. Then, I watched T.V.

At around 6:20 p.m., my Aunt and Uncle came. They came all the way from Oregon. (On Saturday, they had a party because their 2 little girls were baptized.) I played with them for a while, but when it got cold, we had to go inside. After a while, they left. Then, my mom went to go give some tamales to one of friends. Soon, it was time to go to sleep. We didn't really do much this Christmas, but I'm hoping next year we'll do something fun.
