Ending Classtopia

For the past 2 years that I have been a Classtopian, I have published 23 blogs, including this one. I have shared all the activities that happened in my life. I am so happy because you have read every single blog that I have published. The blog that has most views was Jalaysia's Birthday Party. Thank you to all the people who have read these 328 blogs that us, Classtopians, have published. I really don't want Classtopia to end, but when it has to end, it has to end.

New To Classtopia

Hi, I am Anthony and I am new to Classtopia. Today is my first day as a blogger. I really love playing soccer in my free time. I also enjoy learning and going to different places I have never been to. I try to make friends and to get along with new people around me. But there is one thing I am shy about it is when I move or go somewhere different.

Recently, I had to move to a new class, which is Classtopia. At first I was nervous and shy because I was leaving my old friends behind. It was not so bad. The next morning I woke up and told my mom that I love my teacher and couldn't wait to get to school. There is LOTS to do in Classtopia. So far I am fitting in with the gang. I have found some old friends that I had in second grade- Aiden, Jesse, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Sergio, and Yazmine. I love playing with my friends and working with them. I love discovering new things.

I know I am going to have a great year. Thanks mom for putting me in this class.

A Letter To Our Schoolmates

This is a letter that we have decided to send to students at our school to encourage them to read our Blog. The reason that we want to do this is to try and get others to start their own Blogs. It is a lot of work, but it's worth it.
Next we are going to give it to the principal and ask if they can make copies for the whole school.

Dear Students,

We are fourth graders at this school. This year has been the best year of elementary. We have been doing so much to stay busy while learning math, science, and language arts.

We have done two big projects this year. The first was starting garden projects around the school to help beautify our campus. We now know a hundred times more about plants than we did before. Some of us will grow up to become botanist and other kinds of scientists because we have been doing plant experiments.

The second project is this Blog. We write entries about all the things that go on in our country, Classtopia.

Oh yeah, that was another project we started. We created a country last year in September and called it Classtopia. If you read this blog it will give you an idea about what our country is all about. We are proud of the Departments that we are all apart of. Each department is responsible for different chores or tasks.
The Departments are:
Garden- takes care of the plants
Pet- feeds and cares for Bubbles our class pet
I.R.S- makes sure that we pay our taxes
Book- keeps track of our decentralized library and our favorite books
Food- organizes food for parties and publishes favorite recipes
Help- computer techs who help with technology and other problems
Communication- works on entries and evaluate them
Photography- takes pictures of events
Justice- solves conflicts between Classtopians

Every student in our class is part of Classtopia.  It takes hard work to make our country productive, to write all the entries, and to beautify the campus.

We love our country and love to write about it.

Using New Chromebooks

The new Chromebooks are just about ready to be used. They are now fully charged and ready to have connection to the internet. It is taking a while because the person who is in charge of doing that job is busy with testing. These Chromebooks will allow us to create more entries whenever we like. No more waiting to borrow from the school. They belong to us and we will have them everyday. Everybody in Classtopia can use them for research instead of using the three computers in the back of the room and then have to crowd around to see the image. When we have a question, we can just pull out the Chromebooks and do some research. During science and language arts we ask lots of questions like "What is matter?" But now we can answer the questions with the new Chromebooks.

As I am writing this entry, I am using one of twenty-four Chromebooks. Being one of the first two Classtopians to use the new Chromebooks feels special. There are only four of them connected to the internet and two of us chose to write an entry while others are reading the book Stone Fox.  Using the Chromebook feels like I am in a whole new world. It feels like a dream because I am still remembering what happened last Friday when we got them.

Because these computers are for our use only we can do things with them that we could not have done with the school's computers. We can bookmarks sites we use most of the time, especially Classtopia. We can upload pictures for all of our uses. Now that we have our own more students at our school will have more Chromebooks and I Pads than before. This gift to us also helps our school.

24 Chromebooks for us, more for others.

Thanks again SoCal Helpful Honda for all of the great Chromebooks.

The So Cal Honda Random Act of Helpfulness

May 5, 2017 in Classtopia the So Cal Helpful Honda Random Act of Helpfulness visited because they knew we've been blogging. That morning Classtopians were thinking that the best thing that would have happened would be to just get a popsicle from the Principal because of our perfect attendance for the SBAC testing week.

We got a better surprise. When we walked Natalia spotted a Gopro camera  and Laila asked our teacher what it was. The camera in our room seem odd. Little did we know the So Cal Honda people were watching us in order to surprise us. We ignored it after our teacher called the office to find out about it. The principal told her she will call and let us know. So, we went to learn if plants need oxygen or just carbon dioxide.

During our lesson the Honda Random Acts Of Helpfulness people came in.  I have seen Honda help other people, with their home or their daughter or son getting a new things. But for us? Our teacher said she thought they were going to help us with some garden tools but we didn't get that. We got something better than garden tools it was also more valuable than garden tools.

The Chromebooks we got were with a cool white design and they looked so awesome, that I wish I had one to take home!  In our interview we told them about how thankful we are to have our teacher.

The reason why we got this amazing surprise was because of The! The went to https://www.socalhondadealers.com/help-me-honda and suggested us to get Chromebooks because he knew that we blogged. The was the reason why we got into blogging and spending. When they were interviewing us I got to talk about the Pet Department and how we got Bubbles. Even Scadoxus got a visit from her family. They interview our teacher after they interviewed us. I wonder if they told her what we said.  Before they left they told us we were going to on television to talk about Classtopia.

At this moment we knew that hard work does pay off.

A Dream Came True With Honda Random Acts of Helpfulness

This week was the best week a 4th grader can ask for. The So Cal  Helpful Honda Random Acts of Helpfulness came to my classroom with 24 chrome books. They knew that we love writing blogs and using technology. I was astonished and started to cry tears of joy. I couldn't believe that I saw the So Cal  Helpful Honda Random Acts of Helpfulness helping my class with 24 Chromebooks. I thought that I was still dreaming. This was weird because I wished that a So Cal  Helpful Honda Random Acts of Helpfulness would help me. This was a dream come true. This was a great day at school and the best day of my life. I didn't even know what to say. I am so thankful that my class was helped by the So Cal  Helpful Honda Random Acts of Helpfulness. May 5,2017  will never be forgotten. This day couldn't have been any better.

So Cal Helpful Honda Random Act of Helpfulnes

Friday was the best day for every Classtopian. We were having a blast while doing the lesson. Then the camera crew came inside our room, and I thought it was for something else, or they came to the wrong room . But then I noticed it was for us! But we kept on doing our lesson. The camera crew was filming us in our lesson.

I think I looked bewildered. So the principal whispered something in my ear but I did not quite hear her because it was too noisy. I was looking at the door and standing at the door was a woman. Then the Honda people came in, and a lady pushed in a cart of white, new Chromebooks.

Our teacher was shocked at first as well as the Classtopians. But then we realized that it was So Cal Helpful Honda Random Acts of Helpfulness. Some Classtopians even cried! I was almost going to cry but I blinked back tears. But the tears from the Classtopians were not tears of sorrow they were tears of joy. I never expected this. The camera crew asked some kids to give a small lecture about the departments. Isael and Jesse spoke about the Pet Department. Then  all of us started saying how much we love our teacher. After the crew left we celebrated Cinco De Mayo.

So Cal Helpful Honda Random Acts of Helpfulness

Today was the best day for Classtopians because the So Cal Helpful Honda Random Acts of Helpfulness people came to visit. We were doing a lesson and some people came in and started filming. After a while the Honda people came in and we got 24 white chrome books. I was so happy that we got our own computers.  We will no longer have to use the school's chrome books. Now we can use them whenever we need them. This was a great day. Everyone was shocked and so happy because we have always wanted our own chrome books.

WELCOME TO CLASSTOPIA

We are Classtopia.

We are a class of twenty-nine energetic fourth graders and one teacher.  We attend a great school in the heart of Los Angeles, California. This blog will help to document and share with you all our adventures.

Our nation was was founded on September 29, 2016. On that historic day, we used coasianism  to decide which book to read. Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis was the winner.  Since then, Classtopia has been using both coasianism and pragmatarianism to make important decisions about our tax and spending choices.

Within our nation, we have created departments to manage our interests. So far, we have the following departments: garden, pet, IRS, book, food, communication, and help. In the near future we will create more departments to fulfill our needs. Each department has a head and members to carry out responsibilities.  Students can be members and have responsibilities in more than one department.

Classtopians are excited about learning and are preparing for the future. We will be working hard to find ways to improve our world.

We believe that "Progress is a function of difference".-The
