My Black History Month Essay

On February 10, 2020, I was assigned an essay about Augustus Jackson. The reason that I am doing this essay is because we are celebrating Black History Month. I have to write 6 paragraphs about him and It’s due the next day! 😱I don’t think I can do this because I have to do a lot of research and what is really bugging me is that I have to write it and then type it. 😒 I really have to work hard because my New Years resolution is to have straight A’s  this semester. Wish me luck!

The Wreck Of The Miranda

On November 15th, 2018, I will be performing in front of all the middle schoolers in my school. I feel so nervous, but when the day gets closer, I feel more nervous. Every Tuesdays and Fridays, My Chorus class and I  went to the auditorium to practice parts of the scenes. 

What do you do Mariana? I am a Greek chorus, flat mover, and hospital staff. I have three jobs and that is why I am SO nervous. The company that is helping us with the performance is LA OPERA. My Chorus class has to make them thank you cards. I forgot to mention that my performance is an OPERA performance. The show is called The Wreck Of The Miranda. The show is by Nathan W. and Matthew L. The performance is basically about 2 students in a magnet school, Angela and Eva. A fish trawler crashes and they lie that the ship came safely and that chemicals didn't spilled in the oceans, but chemicals did spill in the ocean. People get sick and Angela suspects something. She tries to convince her classmates that something isn't right. With the help of her teacher and her classmates, she will figure this out. 

I can't wait for the day. We had to vote of what to wear. The choices were to wear school uniform or wear all black. We chose all black because we thought it would be comfortable. (We wanted black because we didn't want to wear uniform.... shh) My Chorus teacher wanted us to wear uniform because since the scenes are usually in a classroom, she said it would make us look "better". So the choice was black. The performance will be during 5th period and it will be 49 minutes. I am so nervous!!!

Goodbye M and Hello Summer Vacation

It was a great experience at my elementary school, but now I need to leave my old school because it is time to take a new path in my life. This is the end of my old path. Summer vacation is coming and everyone is going to miss all their friends, but I'm so excited for summer vacation because I'm to visit my grandparents from my mom's side!

Also, we are going to go to pools to get super WET! My cousins will come to my house everyday so we could to a water balloon fight!! In Mexico, I am always going to play with all of my 18 cousins. Then, we are going to the plaza because it looks so beautiful at night. The worst thing that happens in Mexico is that it rains so much that your car could get stuck. Another thing that I'm going to do over the summer is that I am going to study to get ready for middle school. I hope everyone has a great summer and I want my class to be prepared for middle school and succeed in life.

Leaving Elementary school

Tomorrow is our culmination and the next day after our culmination is the last day of school. Then we have go to middle school some people i have knowing for a long time I have known Daisy for 4 years. I am so happy to see that we have made it so far and hopefully I will see some of my friends in middle school. I might see Nathaniel, Mariana, Daniela, Bianca, Elizabeth. I might see them at my middle school. It will be so different in middle school.  

New Start

It is so sad to close out the fifth grade year at this elementary school. I will be leaving this
great school. But I will not forget the great days I had here. I will be departing for my
friends. And I will sadly be departing from my teachers. This is not easy for me.
Closing out this year will be sad but fun. It will open a new chapter in my life.

Leaving the school will be like leaving home. I can only return on days that I am free. It would
be like I am not where I’m supposed to be because I will be new going to middle school it
might uncomfortable there but I will be comfortable with some of my friends there. It won’t
be easy leaving the school that I have been with since I was 5 to go to a whole new one.

I will be leaving my friends. They brighten up my day and make the way more fun. I will only
have a few that will be going to the same school. I will not forget my friends that have been
with me since pre-school. I will surely make new friends but none of them would be like the
ones that I have had in elementary school and preschool. And feel like getting rid of some
of the family member that I have been with since the start. It is very sad for me but I am
also very happy.

I will also be leaving The teachers that I knew about before I even got to the elementary
school. Such as the teachers that my siblings had and several other teachers that either
retired or left. These teachers will all have a place in my heart. I will never forget them
because they were very special to me. Even the ones that did not teach me. I expect
all of them and will remember all of them.

Leaving my school will not be easy. Leaving everyone I know. Leaving everyone I knew
since I was only five. I will never forget my elementary school. Closing out the year will
be so sad but so great at the same time. I will be closing out one chapter of my life
opening another. I can’t wait but at the same time I can. I love elementary school and
will never forget it EVER.

A Frog Tail

Once upon a time, Jenny went to the bathroom and jumped so high up letting out a
big scream. Her head was almost touching the ceiling. There was a frog in the toilet!

“Mom, come quick!” said Jenny.

Then her mom came dashing through the hall breaking
pots and plates.

“What happened sweetie?” said mom.

“There is a frog in the toilet!” said Jenny.  

Mom looked in the toilet and said ”Jenny ha-have you been taking those
special vitamins?” 

It turns out that when Jenny turned around to tell Mom that the
frog was in the toilet, the frog leaped into the bathtub. When Jenny and mom left
the bathroom the frog leaped on Mom’s head causing a big commotion.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!’’ said Mom and Jenny. Mom ran out of the house
and shook her head next to the garage.

“Get out of my hair you little green monstrosity!!” said mom.

The frog jumped out of the moms hair and jumped into
the garage and into the open car window.

Jenny and mom hurried into the car and went straight to the salon. When they
opened the door and went into the salon the frog followed. When mom sat
down to get her hair cleansed the frog went wild and broke mostly everything.
Mom ended up paying $2,000 and getting banned from that salon for life.
Mom was so mad she could have been in a professional boxing match and won.
The day was still not over and the frog was still interfering. The frog ended up in
mom’s purse.

Mom’s day had not been going as planned. All she wanted to do was sit down
and eat while watching television. A lot was going through mom's mind
as she was driving home from the salon. She was thinking of what she would
do if this frog keep on interfering with her life. Mom had suddenly got an
idea. She thought that she could go to the pond and let the frog down there.
Mom sped down to the park and and brought the purse. “Mom stop!”
Mom waited for Jenny to catch up. Jenny snatched the frog and said
“ What is the date?" "It is the 1st of April.” said mom. Mom dropped her purse
and laughed so hard that she started to cry.

On the way home mom could not stop laughing. “So what is his name?” asked
mom. “I do not know. He is not mine he is for my friend Marisol, you have seen
her before.she asked me to babysit sit him for the weekend. Oh and by the way
I would just like to tell you April Fools. I set the whole thing up.”. When mom
and Jenny got home mom said “ You are grounded!” Jenny understood why.
“At least it was worth it.” said Jenny.

The following day Jenny’s father Mike, stayed home. He hated frogs and then he
saw Jenny’s friend’s frog in the toilet. He ran back to the room and got a long stick. Thankfully Jenny stopped her father in time.” Jenny I hate frogs and you now that sweetie!!!” said Mike. Then that same day the frog found a way to get inside of the parents room! Jenny heard a loud girly scream. It was coming from her father's room. Then she turned to see if the frog had still been inside of the cage but he was gone. Jenny knew that this could not be good. She dropped everything and dashed up the stairs into her father’s room. There she saw Mike crunched up in a corner under a blanket and the frog just staring at him like “Really.” Jenny picked up the frog and laughed at her father while pointing. “What happened to the big man with a stick dad.” said Jenny. “Jenny you are grounded.”said Mike. Then Jenny had been grounded for two weeks including the amount of time her mother grounded
her for which was a month.

That Monday Jenny had told the whole school. Then when Jenny's parents went to open house... everybody laughed at them. including the principal on the TA system. Then Jenny got grounded for six months. Including the month and two weeks.

Bye Bye Bungalows

Today, we watched the bungalows at our school being moved away. The bungalows used to be the magnet classrooms. . But then, the classes moved to the Magnet Building. The bungalows weren't being used, and cost 6,000 per month . This was just wasting money, so the principal decided to just take them away. Anyway, today we watched a long truck move one bungalow. The bungalow was cut in half, then loaded onto the truck. They took away 2 halves. Soon, the rest of the other bungalows will be removed, too.

There will soon be an empty space where the bungalows used to be. I think that the space should be used to make a reading area. I love to read, so I would like a reading area outside. I think that there should be grass, (or fake grass) in the empty space. On top of the grass there should be some bean bag chairs, or at least some comfortable chairs. This would be great, because then kids will be able to read while getting some fresh air.

Since the reading area would not take up that much space, I think that there should be another volleyball net. Volleyball is my favorite play area, and I think that a lot of kids enjoy playing volley ball too. If we have two volleyball nets, then two classes could have volleyball as a play area, instead of just one class.

This is what I think should happen to the space where the bungalows used to be. I wonder what the principal will decide to do.

The First Day Of The New School Year!

We know that your summer vacation is over and you really want more days of fun and you don't want to go to school. Well, guess what? This school year will be even better this time. The reason why its going to be better is because you get to see your friends from last year. You could also get the same teacher. 

Well I know it was a day that you didn't want to go to school. Well, I felt like that too. Today was the first day of Classtopia. We lost one of our Classtopians, but guess what, we got two new Classtopians! Their names are Abby and Bianca. We were all excited to see our same teacher again. Well it was a nice  day at school.
